The intent of the blog is to keep you as up to date as possible on the whereabouts and adventures of your friends and loved ones. To this end, we are committed to posting as quickly as possible when we receive an update from the team on "The Ice."

Please understand that communicating from the bottom of the world is not always easy, and that occasionally, weather, satellite orbits or other occurrences might conspire to keep the team from contacting us on a daily basis. Hold tight to the old adage, "No News Is Good News," for less-than-optimum news always seems to make it out from any expedition.

We will pass as many comments as possible on to the climbers and we encourage you to leave as many comments as you'd like, however the primary purpose of this blog is to post news from Antarctica. The climbers will read them all on their return to "civilization" and will very much appreciate your good thoughts and fond wishes.
